Music has been there for you since the day you were born.
It held you when you ached from loss, and brought color to every gray, ordinary day.
Now, you long to use this gift to impact lives.
But—you know that in order to pour into others, you must have the physical, emotional, and social bandwidth to do so.
You need a work environment that prioritizes your well-being.
At Wellness Creative, we believe that the quality of our services can only be as high as the health of our employees.
Here are 10 ways we strive to ensure our employees’ needs are met:
1. We are intentional about cultivating and maintaining a positive work culture. We want you to be excited on Sunday night, not dreading the week ahead. You deserve an uplifting work environment.
2. We prioritize work/life balance. We offer flexibility in scheduling and want our employees to tend to their own needs and family lives.
3. We reward high performance— not with appreciation days or pizza parties (although we’d never turn down a Little Caesars😅), but with higher pay when it is feasible.
4. There is room for advancement. Our long-term vision involves team leads for every department. We value supervision and need talented individuals to mentor those who are newer in the field.
5. We are a close-knit group. We provide community to each other and a genuinely fun office experience. There are few luxuries in life like having wonderful coworkers.
6. We plan and pay for quarterly social events, which contribute to our closeness and prevent burnout.
7. We are working towards offering health insurance or an insurance stipend to our full-time employees as soon as possible!
8. We take care of admin and marketing so that you can focus on what’s most important.
9. We are one of the few facilities in Lexington who offer an employee position rather than hiring you as an independent contractor. This means that we pay a portion of your taxes and can offer certain perks like paid supervision. We put a lot of money into hiring and training you, so we treat you like a valuable asset for our long-term success.
10. We do not believe in micromanaging or power trips. We provide several opportunities for employees to tell us how we can improve as supervisors or as a company. We are a growth-minded organization and strive to constantly improve our leadership and operations.
11. We’ll give you access to our recording equipment— express yourself and tap into your own creativity!
I could keep going and mention that we pay for your professional liability insurance, workers’ compensation, and an equal rate for all tasks such as driving etc.
But… I’ll stop here so that you have time to send us your resume, a cover letter, and a short video introduction to: amber@wellness-creative.com
If we do not have any current music therapist, art therapist, or music instructor job openings, we would still love to connect with you. You never know when we will experience a surge in clients and need someone to join our team!
About to finish your music therapy internship? We’d love to hear from you, too!
