Our music instructors are not only skilled teachers, but also have training in music therapy (most have degrees in music education and music therapy!) This makes us a rare gem in the world of music lessons, offering something far more enriching than the “slap your wrist if you miss a note,” rigid approach to music lessons that kids once dreaded.
At Wellness Creative, we offer
1. A personalized approach: Our music instructors adapt each music lesson to your child’s unique personality, attention span, and learning style. They excel in building trust, rapport, and safety.
2. Easy scheduling and pay: Book on our app and your card will be charged each month. One less thing on your mile-long to-do list!
3. No long-term contract: While other studios make you pay for the entire semester up front, we only charge one month at a time. We understand that life happens.
4. Motivation: Of course we’ll instill the important foundations, but we’ll also teach that song your child asks Alexa to play 100 times per day. Nothing motivates kids more than learning the music they love!
5. Highly trained instructors: Each of our music teachers has over a decade of experience working with children. All have master’s degrees or are currently enrolled in a graduate program.
6. A lesson adapted for any student: We believe every child deserves music lessons, and have specialized training in providing lessons to neurodivergent learners (children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder, Down Syndrome, and a variety of other disabilities).
7. A company run by moms: who understand that you’d rather invest in high quality when it comes to entrusting your child’s education, safety, and potential.
8. FUN: When learning music gets difficult, children may become discouraged and ask to quit (as kids, we did the same thing!) We combat discouragement by building in opportunities for instant gratification, early success, and interactive activities.
9. Recording Studio: Speaking of fun, your child will feel like a superstar when they have the opportunity to record their song during their music lesson. Talk about a core memory!
10. Prep for adulthood: While teaching music lessons, we also sprinkle in life skills like confidence, grit, frustration tolerance, impulse control, social skills, discipline, self-worth, and creative problem-solving.
11. Flexibility: Need to miss a music lesson for baseball or family in town? We provide 4 makeup lessons per semester (2 in-person and 2 on video). Because well… life happens.
12. Community: Our music teachers will become positive role models for your child. You will have access to our social groups, inclusive recitals, and other family events that connect you with Lexington, KY families who also value creativity.
