Amber is the owner of Wellness Creative. She is a board-certified music therapist who holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in music therapy from the University of Kentucky. She has an additional certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Music Therapy (NICU-MT). Amber completed her internship training at UK HealthCare in Lexington, KY, providing medical music therapy to pediatrics. She has worked with students with disabilities in the schools for over 8 years, helping them achieve IEP goals through music therapy. Amber is passionate about helping people make change and improve through creative arts. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling, and writing songs.

Erin is a master’s level music therapist who has been practicing since 2015. Although she has worked with a diverse client population, the majority of her clinical experience has been in mental health and addiction treatment. Prior to becoming a music therapist, she lived and worked in Nashville, TN as a singer/songwriter. These experiences went on to shape her master’s thesis, which examined the ways in which music therapists use songwriting interventions to address grief. Erin has worked for Wellness Creative as the assistant director since 2020. She is also currently a part-time music therapy instructor at UK. In her free time, she loves going on adventures with her husband and children. She finds this career deeply rewarding for many reasons, but especially because of the impact music has on her clients’ expression and self-worth.

Alaina Sheridan, MM, MT-BC is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned her bachelor's degrees from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in Music Therapy and Music Education, PreK–12. She completed her music education student teaching at two Western Pennsylvania schools where she taught middle & high school choir and general music & elementary general music. She then completed her music therapy internship in El Paso, Texas at Frontera Music Therapy. She earned her master’s degree in music therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2023. Her thesis is entitled “A Brief Teacher Training on Using Music to Support Social Emotional Learning in Preschool: Training Materials Development” and can be found here. She has one other publication which she co authored entitled “Centring perspectives of disabled children in music education research” which can be found here. She has worked with Wellness Creative since August 2021. Alaina is passionate about facilitating accessible and equitable, authentic and exciting music experiences for all individuals and their growth towards their goals! In her free time, Alaina loves baking breads and other desserts, taking walks, and enjoying time with friends.

Emma Latham is a master’s level music therapist originally from Tennessee and earned her bachelor’s degree in K-12 instrumental music education from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She completed her student teaching instructing at 3 schools in West Tennessee teaching general music and middle school/high school band. She earned her master’s degree in music therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2023. Her thesis is entitled “Expert Perception’s of Needs of Pregnant Individuals with Substance Use Disorder in Kentucky: A Qualitative Multiple Case Study” and can be found here. Her expertise includes early childhood, adolescents/teenagers, and addressing emotional health throughout the lifespan. She has specialized experience in addressing trauma and is passionate about collaborative therapy sessions that provide a safe space for self expression. In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, seeing friends, and traveling.

Ashley is a board certified music therapist originally from northern Kentucky. She recently finished her clinical music therapy internship with Alaina Sheridan, MM, MT-BC, which encompassed working with students with IEP goals through Fayette County, private practice clients, and music lesson students. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Northern Kentucky University. After obtaining board-certification and completing UK’s Music Therapy Equivalency program, Ashley is continuing her education at the University of Kentucky to receive her master’s degree in music therapy. She prioritizes a client’s sense of self, their self-confidence, and having fun while facilitating music therapy sessions and music lessons. Ashley joined the Wellness Creative team in June 2024. In her free time, Ashley loves to read, sing and play music for fun, and spend time with friends and family.
Avery recently completed her bachelor's degree in music therapy with a certificate in vocal performance from Immaculata University, located near Philadelphia. She came to Kentucky for her internship with UK Healthcare where she focused in adult inpatient mental health, adolescent inpatient behavioral health, general pediatrics, and the NICU. Having ended her internship at the beginning of 2025, she wanted to find a way to continue working providing music therapy services in Lexington. Avery is passionate about addressing the client's whole person, rather than only focusing on therapeutic goals. When facilitating sessions and lessons, she likes to use a variety of experiences that target needs, encourage active engagement, promote self-expression, and build self-confidence. In her free time, Avery enjoys reading, traveling, walking her dog, Clara, and spending time with family and friends.

Danielle’s journey began receiving her undergraduate degree from Georgetown College with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in art. Danielle Creamer then received her Masters of Art Therapy with an Emphasis in Counseling from Saint Mary of the Woods College in 2022. During her undergraduate and graduate experience, Danielle practiced with numerous populations such as inpatient adult and children psychiatric facilities and private practice, where she worked with ages 6 to 75 years of age working with diverse mental health diagnoses and learning disabilities. During this time as well, Danielle completed her masters thesis focusing on the effectiveness of group art therapy with middle school educators and combatting burnout symptomatology.
After graduating with her masters she became a licensed art therapist associate in the state of Kentucky, and achieved her national provisional license, where she will soon this year become both fully licensed and board certified. In the beginning of her career, Danielle served children and adolescents in the school setting and private practice setting, but also worked with adults individually and within the community focused on substance abuse recovery. Danielle also has gained experience being the first art therapist for Kentucky children hospital where she worked with children and adolescents both in the medical and psychiatric populations. Danielle worked with individuals that were resilient through chronic illness, physical disabilities, neurodivergence, learning disabilities, as well as mental health conditions. During her time, she focused on a person centered approach with patients and families, and continues to do this to this day! Danielle was recently awarded the Schwartz award of Compassion within Kentucky Children hospital honoring her consistent work with patients and providing both patients and staff with respect in December 2024. Danielle’s expertise includes working with individuals across the lifespan to utilize art to allow them to grow in their goals with their mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health in a safe place. Danielle enjoys being a guide and support to clients to becoming authentically themselves and embracing the world confidently and compassionately.
Outside of her work with art therapy, Danielle loves traveling internationally, learning new dance moves, learning healing work, reading, painting, and spending time with her friends, family, and 4 cats.
Libby Criswell is currently a graduate student and Teaching Assistant at the University of Kentucky, pursuing a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. Originally from LaGrange, Georgia, Libby developed a love for music at a young age, eventually moving to Birmingham, Alabama to earn a degree in Cello Performance from Samford University. Previously, she worked as a private cello instructor for the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra’s youth outreach programs and as the Assistant Conductor of the Samford A Cappella Choir. Now, in addition to her job as a Music Instructor at Wellness Creative, she is the Assistant Conductor of the UK Chorale and the UK Treble Choir. Along with her training in cello and in voice, Libby also has experience playing piano and guitar from her time as a worship and music ministry leader. In her free time, Libby loves to read, go on long walks, and attempt to learn a second language.

Ben was born and raised in Lexington. He attended the University of Louisville and graduated with a degree in music therapy. He recently finished his music therapy internship with Alaina Sheridan, MM, MT-BC, working with private clients, teaching music lessons, and working with elementary, middle, and high school students at schools across Fayette County. He has spent many years counseling camps both in leadership positions and as a music instructor, worked summers in Texas and Michigan, and taken several trips internationally with the UofL Cardinal Singers, as well as with a youth group. In his free time Ben enjoys making music with friends, watching and talking about movies, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Erin earned her bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Writing from Northeastern University and is currently pursuing her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands. Her interests include using creativity and dance in therapy and working with neurodivergent clients and individuals with anxiety. She is passionate about providing customer service with a positive attitude and loves to help! In her free time, she likes dancing, traveling, and watching anime with her partner.
